General resources

Breath of the Eidolon

A gas found solely on the Plains of Eidolon, refined to its purest form.

A special resource only rewarded from Plains of Eidolon bounties. Breath of the Eidolon is used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items. When Breath of the Eidolon becomes trapped in molten iradite, it forms the gemstone Nyth. Vials of Breath of the Eidolon appear to be used as illumination by the Ostron, including as a component of their very common Xartaan lamps. The description of Xartaan lamps may indicate that Breath of the Eidolon glows as a result of bioluminescence1. Varzia has several vials of Breath of the Eidolon on her Foundry bench behind her. Breath of the Eidolon cannot be fed to the Helminth.

Cetus Wisp

Strange stone lifeforms that call the Plains home. They are a rare find, clustering together, floating above a patch of ground they've taken an inexplicable interest in. They are an enigma.

A special resource primarily harvested from their spawn points along the edges of bodies of water on the Plains of Eidolon. If they are approached but not collected, they will float up into the sky and disappear after a few seconds. They can also be rewarded from Cetus bounties and Ghoul bounties, or purchased from the Quills or Operational Supply. Cetus Wisps are used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items, primarily Amp components. Cetus Wisps cannot be fed to the Helminth.

Condroc Wing

The talon on a condroc's wing is sharp enough to tear through bone.

An uncommon resource dropped by condrocs on the Plains of Eidolon. Killing a condroc prevents the animal from being saved through Conservation. Condroc wings are used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items. According to Master Teasonai, condroc feathers are traditionally used by the Ostron to fletch arrows2. Condroc wings cannot be fed to the Helminth.

Grokdrul

A noxious mix of polysaccharides and long-chain polymers, grokdrul is a standard chemical used in Grineer manufacturing.

A common resource found in Grokdrul Drums located in Grineer camps on the Plains of Eidolon, in resource containers on the Plains of Eidolon, or as a mission reward from Cetus bounties. Grokdrul Drums are described as "A supply of grokdrul, a chemical used in Grineer manufacturing." Grokdrul is mentioned to be poisonous to developing ghouls3. Grokdrul is used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items. Grokdrul can be fed to the Helminth to secrete Calx.

Iradite

A valuable mineral found on the Plains.

A common resource found in Iradite Deposits on low-lying areas of the Plains of Eidolon, from resource containers on the Plains, or as a mission reward from Cetus bounties. Iradite Deposts are described as "A rich vein of iradite". When molten iradite is infiltrated by Breath of the Eidolon, it crystallises as the gemstone Nyth. Iradite is used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items. Iradite can be fed to the Helminth to secrete Calx.

Kuaka Spinal Claw

The sinew from the Kuaka's spinal claws can be tanned to make a resilient and flexible leather.

An uncommon resource dropped by Kuakas on the Plains of Eidolon. Killing a Kuaka prevents the animal from being saved through Conservation. Kuaka spinal claws are used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items. Kuaka spinal claws cannot be fed to the Helminth.

Maprico

This hardy fruit is thick-skinned to withstand harsh conditions, concealing a mouthful of sweet pulp within.

A common resource found in Maprico Trees growing all over the Plains of Eidolon, in resource containers on the Plains, or as a mission reward from Cetus bounties. Maprico Trees are described as "A hardy Plains tree, and a source of nutrition for animals with the jaw strength to break through the tough skin of its fruit." Mapricos are used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items, and can be fed to the Helminth to secrete Biotics.

Nistlepod

Used by the Nistlebrush to trap and kill prey.

A common resource found in Nistlebrushes growing in mountainous regions of the Plains of Eidolon, in resource containers on the Plains, or as a mission reward from Cetus bounties. Nistlebrushes are described as "The poisonous nectar cradled in the Nistlebrush's central cavity lures unwary wildlife into the killing grip of its reflex-fired thorn-pods." Nistlepods are used in manufacturing a variety of Cetus-related items, and can be fed to the Helminth to secrete Biotics.

Sentient Core (Intact, Exceptional, & Flawless)

An integral part of Vomvalysts and Teralysts, the exact function of this... device? organ? is uncertain.

Sentient cores are dropped by Sentients. Vomvalysts drop Intact Sentient cores, while Exceptional Sentient cores are dropped by the Teralyst, Gantulyst, and Hydrolyst when a synovium is broken. Flawless Sentient cores are dropped by the Teralyst, Gantulyst, and Hydrolyst when they are captured with the help of Eidolon Lures. Sentient fighters outside the Plains of Eidolon, such as Battalysts and Conculysts, will also drop Intact Sentient cores. All three grades of Sentient core have the same description. The primary purpose of Sentient cores is to redeem Standing with the Quills, but they are also used for crafting a small number of Sentient-related items. Quill Onkko sells a blueprint that converts Intact Sentient cores to Exceptional Sentient cores, thereby amplifying the amount of Quills Standing one can earn. There is no method to convert Exceptional Sentient cores into Flawless, however. Sentient cores of all grades can be fed to the Helminth to stimulate its Sentient Appetite.

Eidolon Shard (standard, Brilliant, & Radiant)

[Rare] shard gained from capturing the Sentients roaming the Plains of Eidolon. [Use it to gain Focus [or to unbind Way-bound focus nodes.]]

Eidolon shards are dropped by the large Eidolon Sentients that roam the Plains at night, with slight variations in their description based on grade. Standard Eidolon shards are dropped by the Teralyst, Gantulyst, and Hydrolyst when they are defeated, regardless of whether they are killed or captured. Brilliant Eidolon shards are dropped by the Teralyst, Gantulyst, and Hydrolyst when they are captured, and are used to summon the Gantulyst. Radiant Eidolon shards are dropped by the Gantulyst and Hydrolyst when they are captured, and are used to summon the Hydrolyst. Standard Eidolon shards are used to craft the Paracesis and to rank up with the Quills. Eidolon shards of all grades can be redeemed for Focus, and Brilliant shards are used to unbind certain Focus nodes. Standard Eidolon shards can be fed to the Helminth to stimulate its Sentient Appetite, but the higher grades cannot.

Narmer Isoplast

An adaptive Sentient base component responsible for communication flows. Used extensively in the Narmer invasion. A valuable commodity for both the Quills and Vox Solaris.

Narmer Isoplast is a resource obtained as a bounty reward from the Narmer bounties offered by Konzu and Eudico after the completion of the New War quest. Narmer Isoplast is used to craft Caliban, his Cranion alternate helmet, his Venato scythe, and the Archons' weapons: Korumm, Nepheri, and Verdilac. Narmer Isoplast can also be redeemed for Standing with the Quills or Vox Solaris. Narmer Isoplast cannot be fed to the Helminth.
