Eleanor Dialogue: Legacyte Harvest
Eleanor guides the Drifter during Legacyte Harvest missions in Höllvania. Legacyte Harvest is a kind of endless Capture mission where the Tenno must summon, subdue, and capture Legacytes, one after the other. Each Legacyte is stronger than the one before, gaining additional abilities as the mission goes on. After each Legacyte captured, the Drifter has the option to extract or continue further. Legacyte Harvest missions are only seen on a single mission node: Köbinn West, Höllvania. Like all Höllvania missions, it can only be accessed after completing The Hex quest.
The Drifter must make their way to Kalymos, who will be waiting at the entrance to the underground tunnels. Once she is interacted with, she will enter the underground and establish an area to search. Once the search starts, Techrot enemies will spawn and attack her. Kalymos must search for 100 seconds, represented by a meter on the HUD. She cannot be killed, but if she sustains damage, it will pause her search for a few seconds. Killed Techrot enemies may drop Pheroglands, which can be picked up and brought to Kalymos to speed up the meter 15 seconds.
When the meter is complete, a Legacyte will spawn somewhere on the map. The Legacyte starts with a random ability to fight the Drifter or aid in its escape. The Drifter must defeat the Legacyte. Once it is at half health, it will flee to a Techrot Umbilix. If it arrives at the Umbilix, it will wait briefly; the Umbilix can be destroyed at this point to cut off escape. If instead the Legacyte escapes, the mission is over.
If the Legacyte is successfully defeated, it must be captured like a Capture target. Afterwards, the Drifter can extract, or they may choose to find Kalymos and interact with her to begin another search.
Legacyte Harvest is an endless game mode. The Drifter can hunt any number of Legacytes, one at a time. Each successive Legacyte learns a new ability at random in addition to the previous abilities. Each Legacyte harvested is a reward rotation.
Mission start
«We shall starve the Techrot of vital nutrients by forcing it to create Legacyte after Legacyte. Fair warning: each beast will be stronger than the last. If you are still game, follow Kalymos.»
«As a beehive works tirelessly to support its Queen, the Techrot hoards resources to grow and evolve its Legacytes. We will harvest its precious Legacytes and nip its growth in the bud. Follow Kalymos. She will track your prey.»
«It is harvest time. Your crop? The Techrot Legacyte. An evolving beast that consumes untold resources during gestation. Harvest enough of them and perhaps we can deplete the Techrot. Kalymos is prowling nearby. She'll guide you to your target.»
If the Drifter delays
«Find Kalymos. Let her know you are ready.»
«Seek out Kalymos.»
«Kalymos awaits.»
Upon initiating search with Kalymos for the first round
«That's it, Kalymos! Good girl! Now, we are not going to let any harm come to that precious feline, are we?»
«Good. Keep her safe while she sniffs out the Techrot's darling Legacyte.»
«Kalymos will have the Legacyte's trail soon. Ensure her safety.»
When Kalymos arrives at the search location
«Pheroglands. Reeking, saturated with hormones, and a sure sign a Legacyte is nearby. Kalymos wants a sniff.»
«Grab those Pheroglands and let Kalymos have a whiff of them. That will help her find our target.»
«Techrot Pheroglands. Grab them, and take them to Kalymos.»
If Kalymos is attacked
«Kalymos is in pain. She cannot track the Legacyte unprotected.»
«She hurts. You must protect her or she cannot help you.»
«Kalymos is hurt! She's recovering, but you need to protect her.»
«Kalymos is working hard to find the Legacyte for us, so the least we can do is protect her, don't you agree?»
«They've hurt her. Rally to her side while she recovers.»
«Kalymos! She needs you now!»
«Kalymos! Quickly now. To her side.»
Upon finding the first Legacyte
«Our faithful kavat has roused the prey. Bring it down and drain it.»
«Kalymos found the Legacyte. Harvest it!»
When the Legacyte flees
«It's on the move. It mustn't escape or we'll never find it again, and this mission will be a failure.»
«It's trying to run! Stop it. Escape is failure.»
When the Legacyte is defeated
«It has been broken. Harvest it.»
«Now, consume the beast.»
«Hurry, harvest now. End this generation.»
After harvesting the first Legacyte
«It is done. Either flee to extraction now, or if you have it in you, ask Kalymos to find the next Legacyte. Remember, the Techrot evolves quickly, and your next battle will be harder still.»
Beginning a new Legacyte search
«And again, the Techrot spawns a Legacyte. It has learned. It is stronger.»
«Kalymos has its scent. Keep her safe.»
«The Techrot is relentless, its stamina unending. We must match its resolve.»
«Another Legacyte has finished gestating. Kalymos has the scent.»
[gasp] «I feel the birth of a new Legacyte.»
Subsequent Legacytes found
«Legacytes are not your average Techrot conglomeration of electronics and biomass. They are more evolved, more akin to warframes.»
«The Techrot learns from you, and others like you. It sees your powers and copies them.»
«Your target has surfaced! Take it down before it dives back into the mulch!»
«A beast as voracious as the Techrot itself.»
«She has done it. Legacyte in the area. Your rightful prey. Take it!»
«Techrot; it consumes, and it learns. And the only thing we can do is try to destroy it.»
«There it is. The Techrot's latest debutante. Take it down.»
«Another stirs. What horrific adaptations has this one developed?»
Subsequent Legacytes Fleeing
«The Legacyte tries to flee.»
«It's scared and wants to escape. Finish it first.»
«It flees. Stop it.»
«The beast seeks sanctuary. Give it no quarter.»
«It's on the run. Give chase.»
Subsequent Legacytes harvested
«With every Legacyte we cut down, a new one instantly emerges. How deep does this go?»
«Our feline friend yearns for another hunt. Will you oblige?»
«It will learn from what you just did to it. Harvest again, but know it will be tougher next time.»
[gasp] «Sweet Lua! I can see it. All that was taken from Höllvania and her people. Funnelled into this… monster.»
«So we reclaim what the Techrot has taken from us.»
«Do not mourn for the Legacyte. It is but one appendage of the sprawling Techrot mass.»
«Kalymos is ready to hunt again.»
(5th Legacyte or higher) «We thank Sol for this bountiful harvest.»

If the Legacyte escapes
«You let it get away! Kalymos has completely lost the scent. There is nothing more you can do. Come home.»
«The beast has fled. It'll go into hiding and no new Legacyte will gestate. Nothing more to do but head to extraction.»
(if extraction is not available) «It's gone. This mission is a total loss.» [mission failure]

«A formidable effort. Do you think you can do more next time?»
