Cetus Bounty Stages

Bounties on the Plains of Eidolon are given by Konzu, but largely directed by the Lotus. Each Bounty consists of 3-5 independent Bounty stages connected by a narrative thread. Not all stages will appear in all Bounties. This page describes each Bounty stage and lists the Lotus’ dialogue when directing those stages.


Assassinate

This stage requires the Tenno to kill 15 enemies to force a confrontation with the target. A 5-minute timer will track progress. After reaching the goal, the assassination target will show up, and must be killed. If the Tenno do not kill the target before the timer runs out, the bounty will fail. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must draw out the target within 1 minute.

(upon killing enough troops) Lotus: “That’s it. The target’s come out for a fight. Make it their last.”


Cache Recovery

This stage requires the Tenno to find three supply caches in a marked area within 8 minutes. The caches emit a ringing noise when nearby, which can aid in locating them. If the Tenno do not find all the caches before the timer runs out, the bounty will fail. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage with 5 minutes remaining.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “You’re nearing the supply caches but I am unable to pinpoint their locations. You’ll have to search them all out for yourself.”

(upon looting a cache, variant) Lotus: “That’s one of the caches.”

(upon looting a cache, variant) Lotus: “Cache found.”

(upon looting a cache, variant) Lotus: “Excellent hunting, you found one of the caches.”

(upon looting the second cache, variant) Lotus: “Just one cache remaining.”

(upon looting the second cache, variant) Lotus: “That’s it, only one more to go.”

(upon looting the third cache) Lotus: “That’s the last cache.”


Capture

This stage requires the Tenno to locate a high-value target and incapacitate them. When the target is spotted, they will begin running to a designated extraction point. If they reach it, the bounty will fail. The Tenno must defeat and then capture the target. Heavy Grineer reinforcements will attempt to interfere. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must capture the target without killing any other enemies.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “The officer is nearby, track them down.”

(upon spotting the target) Lotus: “There’s the officer. Capture them.”


Drone Hijack

This stage requires the Tenno to find a disabled drone and reactivate it by hacking it. The drone will then begin moving (as long as the Tenno stay near it) to a marked location some hundreds of metres away while Grineer reinforcements appear along the path. If the drone is destroyed, the bounty will fail. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage without allowing the drone to lose more than 20% of its health.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “The drone is nearby. Find it and hack it.”

(upon hacking the drone) Lotus: “That’s it; the drone is under our control now. Escort it to the extraction point before the enemy can destroy it.”

(when Grineer troops are dropping in, variant) Lotus: “More Grineer inbound. Don’t let them harm the drone.”

(when Grineer troops are dropping in, variant) Lotus: “They’re sending another wave to take out the drone. Stay vigilant.”


Exterminate

This stage requires the Tenno to kill 25 Grineer enemies in 5 minutes. The timer will not begin until the Tenno reaches the objective area, but after that point enemies can be killed anywhere, not only at the objective. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage with 4 minutes remaining.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “Targets spotted. Strike fast and take out as many as you can.”

Lotus: “Keep going. They won’t be able to sustain these casualties for much longer.”

(when giving out a new location, variant) Lotus: “More Grineer amassing nearby. Get over there and take them out.”

(when giving out a new location, variant) Lotus: “I’ve located another mass of enemies. Take the fight to them.”


Liberation

This stage requires the Tenno to occupy an area and kill all enemies present. Once done, a 2:30-minute timer will start, during which the Tenno must maintain control of the area. Reinforcements will swarm into the area. Grineer troops present in the zone will erode Tenno control over the area, indicated by a “Control Level” gauge in the HUD. More Grineer or heavy Grineer will erode control faster, whereas killing Grineer will restore control. If the control level drops to 0%, the bounty will fail. At the end of the countdown, if the zone remains under Tenno control, the reinforcements will stop and the Tenno will be tasked with killing all remaining Grineer before the stage is complete. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage without the control level ever dropping below 50%.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “You’ve reached the location. Clear out any nearby hostiles.”

(upon clearing the camp, variant) Lotus: “The location is ours…. Wait. Incoming assault. Don’t let them retake this territory.”

(upon clearing the camp, variant) Lotus: “You’ve captured the location. Do not let them retake it.”


Rescue

This stage requires the Tenno to free an Ostron prisoner. The Ostron will be marked on the map, escorted by four Grineer guards across the open Plains. Once the guards are aware of the Tenno, or one of them is killed, a bomb collar on the prisoner will be activated, with a 30-second countdown to detonation. The Tenno must kill all four guards and then hack the collar on the prisoner before the countdown expires, or the bounty will fail. After disarming the bomb, the Tenno must lead the prisoner to a marked extraction point. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage without the prisoner’s health dropping below 80%.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “There’s the captive. Take out the guards, but be warned, the prisoner has been strapped with a bomb collar. Detection will start the countdown to detonation.”

(upon detection) Lotus: “You’ve been detected. Hurry up and free the prisoner before that collar explodes.”

(upon killing the guards) Lotus: “The guards are down. Defuse the collar now.”

(upon hacking the collar) Lotus: “You freed the prisoner. Now escort them to safety.”


Resource Theft

This stage requires the Tenno to locate an armoured vault and then kill enemies in the area until one of them drops a datamass. The datamass must be inserted into the vault’s console, which will start a 2-minute timer. The console must be protected from Grineer assault during that time. If the vault is destroyed, the bounty will fail. After the timer is complete, the vault will open; no further action on the part of the Tenno is necessary. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage without the console’s health dropping below 80%.

(upon arriving at the waypoint, variant) Lotus: “The vault’s armour is too strong for your weapons to penetrate. I will hack it open, but first, I need a datamass from the guards.”

(upon arriving at the waypoint, variant) Lotus: “You’re nearing the armoured vault. Take out the surrounding guards. One of them is carrying a datamass and we’ll need that to get inside.”

(upon killing the Grineer) Lotus: “They dropped the datamass; grab it.”

(upon picking up the datamass) Lotus: “Good, now insert that datamass into the console.”

(upon inserting the datamass) Lotus: “If they destroy the console we’ll never get the vault open.”

(when hacking still has 60 seconds left, variant) Lotus: “Hold tight and protect that console. More Grineer are coming your way.”

(when hacking still has 60 seconds left, variant) Lotus: “Still hacking. Brace yourself for more fighters.”

(when console is heavily damaged, variant) Lotus: “The console is taking heavy damage. It must remain operational.”

(when console is heavily damaged, variant) Lotus: “You need to protect the console. It’s vital to this mission.”

(when hacking is complete) Lotus: “We’re in. Take the resources.”


Supply Sabotage

This stage requires the Tenno to kill Grineer enemies in an area until one drops a resupply beacon. If the Tenno takes too long to find the enemy, it will be marked on the map. The Tenno must pick up the beacon, at which point a supply crate will be dropped out of orbit, along with Grineer reinforcements. The Tenno must destroy the crate and then kill enemies to find another beacon. Three crates in all will be dropped and must be destroyed. If the stage is not completed within 5 minutes, then the bounty will fail. To achieve the bonus, the Tenno must complete the bounty stage while also killing at least 30 enemies.

(upon arriving at the waypoint) Lotus: “Among these troops is a resupply beacon. Find it and take it.”

(upon killing the Grineer with the beacon, variant) Lotus: “There’s the supply beacon. Grab it so I can call in the drop.”

(upon killing the Grineer with the beacon, variant) Lotus: “Take that supply beacon, and I will call in the drop.”

(when the supply crate drops, variant) Lotus: “Supplies are dropping now, destroy them.”

(when the supply crate drops, variant) Lotus: “Here comes the supply pod. Destroy the supplies before the enemy can get their hands on it.”

(when the supply crate drops, variant) Lotus: “Supplies incoming. Make sure the Grineer never get their hands on them.”

(when the third supply crate drops) Lotus: “That’s the last pod. Destroy the supplies.”


Failure

If the Tenno fails any stage of the bounty, the entire bounty will fail, though rewards gained up to that point will still remain.

(upon failing a bounty stage) Lotus: “We can no longer complete our objective. I will let Konzu know we have failed him.”
