Teshin Dialogue: Undercroft

Duviri Paradox promo image

During The Circuit and the portions of Duviri Spirals that take place in the Undercroft, Teshin acts as mission control, guiding the Drifter through warframe combat situations that mirror those faced by the Tenno in the Origin System.

Assassination

Assassination missions in the Undercroft feature the Corrupted Jackal. The fight is similar to the fight in the Origin System at Fossa, Venus, but the Jackal has only three health bars instead of four, and will teleport away to a different location on the island each time a health bar is depleted, summoning Corrupted reinforcements. It will be invulnerable until all reinforcements have been killed. The Jackal does not have its normal dialogue during this fight.

(mission start) "Ah, the Jackal. A graceless machine with no business here. Dispatch it and move on."

(mission start) "The Jackal may have been sent to explore Duviri. Ensure it never returns."

(mission start) "Cowards send minions to fight in their stead. This Jackal is a mere envoy. Destroy it."

(mission start) "A Corpus Jackal. I do not know how it found its way into the Undercroft, but it cannot be allowed to report back."

(if the Drifter shoots the Jackal's body) "The body is well armoured. The limbs, less so."

(if the Drifter shoots the Jackal's body) "A warrior must strike where the foe's armour is weakest."

(when a limb has been damaged) "First, bring it down. Then work on keeping it down."

(when a limb has been damaged) "Do not hesitate to attack when an opening presents itself."

(when the rotating grid-wall is active) "Avoid the beams!"

(when the rotating grid-wall is active) "Evade! You can attack later!"

(when the Jackal is stunned) "Now! Strike while it is down!"

(when the Jackal is stunned) "You have an opportunity! Take it!"

(when the Jackal teleports away) "The foe flees before your onslaught. Hunt it down!"

(when the Jackal teleports away) "You have triggered its defensive precepts. Find where it has fled to."

(when Corrupted reinforcements appear) "It has support. Change your focus."

(when Corrupted reinforcements appear) "Something is shielding it from harm. Find out what."

(when Corrupted reinforcements appear) "Seek out what protects it."

(when Corrupted reinforcements appear) "Turn your fury upon what is vulnerable."

(during the second stage of the fight) "Attack speed increasing. The foe is fighting for its life."

(during the second stage of the fight) "Like a dying animal, its ferocity increases. Be aware."

(when the Jackal is stunned during the third stage of the fight) "The foe has fallen. Stab it to the heart!"

(when the Jackal is stunned during the third stage of the fight) "It will not get up again. Finish it."

(after the Jackal is defeated) "Jackal destroyed. More will follow, no doubt. Some nightmares recur."

(after the Jackal is defeated) "Skill has triumphed over mere machinery. You have done well."

(after the Jackal is defeated) "Let this victory serve as a warning. Duviri is defended."

Defence

Defence missions in the Undercroft are identical to those in the Origin System, with the defence objective itself being one of the Reservoir Transference pods, named The Golden Cradle. The Drifter must defend for 3 waves.

(mission start) "Many defensive battles within the Origin System were lost. Through the Paradox, you now have the chance to undo those defeats."

(mission start) "History dictates that this Tenno asset was destroyed in a grave setback to the cause. Let us rewrite that event."

(mission start) "This Tenno asset is destined to be destroyed by hostile forces. Intervene and change its fate."

(when a wave starts) "The enemy musters for a fresh assault. Hold the line."

(when a wave starts) "Prepare yourself. A fresh wave approaches."

(when a wave starts) "Enemies incoming. Stand fast."

(when a wave starts) "The winds blow fiercely; the rains do not relent; still the stout bough stands."

(when a wave starts) "No time to rest. Already a new onslaught begins."

(when the defence is halfway complete) "Your resolve is being tested. Do not falter."

(when the defence is halfway complete) "This battle is already half won."

(mission complete) Teshin: "Like ashes, the enemy has been scattered to the Void."

(mission complete) Teshin: "The enemy has been exhausted, if only for now."

Excavation

Excavation missions in the Undercroft are identical to those in the Origin System. The Drifter must extract 300 cryotic.

(mission start) "Secrets lie buried deep within the Undercroft. The Paradox provides the means to extract them. You must protect the Excavators and keep them powered."

(starting an excavation) "Extractor in place."

(starting an excavation) "Extractor deploying."

(marking a dig site) "Marking Void Treasure extraction site."

(marking a dig site) "A new extraction site may now be claimed."

(marking a dig site) "A new Void Treasure may now be extracted."

(marking a dig site) "I sense another Void Treasure."

(marking a dig site) "A Void Treasure has been located."

(marking a dig site) "Void Treasure location established."

(when an Excavator runs out of power) "An extractor is out of power."

(when an Excavator runs out of power) "An extractor requires power."

(when an Excavator runs out of power) "Extractor charge expended."

(when an Excavator is at 75% health) "Excavator under attack."

(when an Excavator is at 75% health) "Enemies are assaulting your excavator."

(when an Excavator is at 25% health) "Excavator is almost destroyed."

(when an Excavator is at 25% health) "Your excavator is on the brink of destruction."

(when an Excavator is at 25% health) "Excavator is severely damaged. Protect it, or lose it."

(losing an Excavator) "Excavator lost. Your work wasted."

(losing an Excavator) "You allowed the enemy to destroy an excavator."

(mission complete) "A way out is now open to you, but further buried riches are here for the taking."

(mission complete) "You have gained much. If you choose, you may now leave."

Exterminate

Exterminate missions in the Undercroft are identical to those in the Origin System. Near the end of the mission, Corrupted Vor will appear, and must be killed to complete the mission.

(mission start) "The Undercroft seethes with Thrax's violence. Burn it out with force. Destroy every enemy you find."

(mission start) "Confront the maddened ones who walk the Undercroft, the shadows of armies that do not yet exist. Ensure they never become fully real."

(mission start) "Like an infected wound, the Paradox breeds defenders out of the raw Void. Contain the Paradox. Kill the enemy."

(halfway complete) "Do not relent. The battle has barely begun."

(halfway complete) "The foe is staggered but not yet defeated. Persist."

(halfway complete) "The spark of victory has been struck. Fight on and fan the flame."

(mission complete) "Little by little, the madness of the Undercroft is curbed."

(mission complete) "You have calmed the storm. Return to the world above."

(mission complete) "The battle is won, the Paradox tamed."

Survival

Survival missions in the Undercroft are identical to those in the Origin System. The Drifter must survive for 5 minutes. The mission starts with one life support tower present; due to the short mission time, only one additional life support tower will appear.

(mission start) "Your presence is enough to hold the paradox at bay, but the environment itself will fight to choke you out."

(mission start) "Endurance is defiance. Prove you can endure the Undercroft at its most oppressive."

(mission start) "The longer you can keep this Undercroft manifestation active, the greater the gains for the Other Side."

(when an enemy drops life support) "The Void gives as well as takes. Those you slay may drop concentrated life support."

(when an enemy drops life support) "Be aware: fallen enemies may drop valuable life support."

(new life support tower incoming) "Life support is inbound."

(new life support tower incoming) "Prepare to receive life support."

(new life support tower incoming) "Predicting life support drop point."

(new life support tower incoming) "Life support drop imminent."

(when a new life support tower arrives) "Periodically life support will appear. Use it only as you must."

(when a new life support tower arrives) "The life support is limited. It must not be squandered."

(when a new life support tower arrives) "Life support will be scarce. Do not waste it."

(when a new life support tower arrives) "Life support capsule delivered."

(when a new life support tower arrives) "Life support drop complete."

(when a new life support tower arrives) "Additional life support has arrived."

(life support tower activated) "Life support has been activated."

(life support tower activated) "Systems charged with life support."

(life support tower activated) "Life support replenished."

(when life support is down to 40%) "You have sixty seconds."

(when life support is down to 40%) "Only sixty seconds remain."

(when life support is down to 40%) "Sixty seconds left."

(when life support is down to 20%) "Thirty seconds remain. You walk the blade's edge."

(when life support is down to 20%) "Thirty seconds left."

(when life support is down to 20%) "Your life support expires in thirty seconds."

Void Flood

Void Flood missions in the Undercroft are mostly identical to those on the Zariman, although there is no Void Flood meter causing interfering effects as the mission goes on. Additionally, the Thrax enemies that spawn every rotation in Origin-side missions will only sometimes spawn at the end of an Undercroft rotation (which is 5 Ruptures sealed, instead of 3).

(mission start) "Creatures of the deep Void are assaulting the Undercroft, tearing rents in its fabric. Seal them up again, or worse foes than Thrax may emerge."

(mission start) "The Void Angels that roost in the Zariman are breaking into the Undercroft. Repair the damage to keep them at bay."

(mission start) "The Paradox has drawn Void Angels to besiege the Undercroft. Undo what their claws have done, or Duviri may fall to something worse even than Thrax."

(Vitoplast reminder) "Globes of ambient Void energy hover around you. Collect them to seal the breaches."

(Vitoplast reminder) "The spheres you see are ambient Void energy. Gather as much as you can and use it to heal the damage."

(Vitoplast reminder) "The ruptures can be closed, but only if you collect enough ambient Void energy. Seize the globes that float nearby."

(Vitoplast reminder) "The Void can heal as well as harm. Gather the floating spheres and take them to the ruptures."

(Vitoplast reminder) "You will have to be nimble to collect those energy globes, but they are the only means to close the breaches."

(sealing a rupture) "A breach has been sealed. Excellent work."

(sealing a rupture) "The rupture is closed. The Paradox stabilises."

(sealing a rupture) "The Void Angels are unrelenting. You are all that is keeping them at bay. Hold fast."

(sealing a rupture) "If the Void Angels break through the Wall, their master will be freed. Do not allow that to happen."

(when the second rupture appears) "Fight on. Close the ruptures as you would staunch the wounds of a comrade."

(when carrying maximum Vitoplast) "Your reserves of healing energy are full."

(when carrying maximum Vitoplast) "You can hold no more healing energy. Get to a rupture."

(when carrying maximum Vitoplast) "Enough. You can gather no more. Attend to the ruptures."

(when carrying maximum Vitoplast) "Seal a rupture! You have gathered enough healing energy."

(mission complete) "Duviri's defences are weakest here. You have done well to reinforce them."

(mission complete) "The enemy has been held at bay. Congratulations are in order."

(mission complete) "The smallest breach in the Wall may become a gaping wound. Thanks to you, that will not now happen."

The Circuit rotation

"This struggle goes on for as long as you can stand."

"Will you lay your sword aside and rest? Or fight on?"

"Do not expect me to tell you when to stop. Judge for yourself."

"I advise you not to be content with merely 'doing enough'."

"It is my duty to make extraordinary demands of exceptional people."

"Leave now or later, but leave you must. For the Undercroft is inexhaustible."

The Circuit extraction

"Yes, you must move on. It is in your nature."

"The book is closed and set aside, for now."

"There is a time for training, and a time for tea."

"One pebble at a time, you will lift entire mountains."

"I will wait for you, just as I did before."

"While you walk in other spaces, remember: Duviri is real."

"Duviri is yours. It will wait for you."
